Crying... EVERYDAY!!!

Every single day this week I have left Dalton crying at Wee school. I don't know what the deal is! She LOVES it there! She gets in the car every day... and is so excited about what all they have made or about what they sang or about her getting to be the leader. If I had to guess it would be that she is so off schedule from the holidays... I did not make her go while Avery was out of school.. so she went to bed a little later and got to sleep a little later too every day. BUT not only is she crying when I leave her but she has a couple of break downs during the day too. I talked to her about it the last couple of days asking her if someone was being mean and just trying to figure out what is up!! Finally in her soft little voice she says to me... I just want YOU mama!!! I just can't take it! No, I am not pulling her out to keep her at home with me because HELLO PEOPLE.. I work!! If she does this to me during school next year I will not be able to handle it. I hate to leave her crying.. I have NEVER had to do this before with Avery and my nerves can't take it. She will be at school as long as I take her.. I will just be heart broken all day with how I know that I had to leave her.. but now her daddy is another story.. he will not leave her. So, I am going to have to work on both of them before the school year starts!

Maybe she is feeling like me.. just burnt out. I don't even want to blog any more. I mean WHY do I blog anyway? I have LOTS of hits, and a few comments but does that make it worth it? No, not really! I don't expect a million comments, but it does keep me going if I know that someone cares.

Sorry for the long write up and no pictures.. I have an appt at 9:30 and just had a few minutes to spare after I got the beds made, supper laid out and clothes in the washer!! Happy Friday!

I don't know if I would be able to handle it either. Wonder what's up? Bet it just the fact that she hasn't seen me in a while and here I have changed on her. Be easy on the girl her whole world turned upside down over a coke!!

I'm sorry you are having a rough week. I think this is the worst time of year for kids. They have been home for 2-3 weeks with our undivided attention, excitement of Christmas, and being able to relax. Then in a matter of one day it is over and they are back to a routine. In fact last night Chandler said to me "mom, can I please have a skip day tomorrow I am just so tired" Hang in there I am sure it will get better.

Now about the blogging don't give it up. I have been checking your sight daily. I kept waiting for a new update. I love that you are honest about your feelings and don't try and sugar coat things.

Enjoy your week-end and look at the Dalton situation this way. At least she loves you so much that she does not want to leave your side. Soon she will be 15 and begging to leave your side. LOL

I can totally relate. It kills me to leave my little boy crying at daycare. He has been begging me not to make him go since he was home more during Christmas. He really didn't like it there when the school kids were there. He also didn't understand why his friends whose moms are teachers didn't have to go and he did. I can't make him understand that not every profession gets out for the summer and 2 weeks at Christmas. WE just all wish we did! Hang in there!

Oh, no! I know I wouldn't be able to handle it inside, but I know that would have to try to make myself stick to my guns. Well, we will see when I get to that bump in the road. :/

I don't get many comments either but I blog so that Oak will have this recollection of what was going on in her life. My mom always kept detailed journals and books with pictures so this is just the new and improved version. I'll show ya some love, girl!

Oh, Rad Stitches.... it happens to us all. That feeling of no one being out there. We are out here. Although I was pretty pissed when "the shop was closed" and I would check in and ... NOTHING! I was growing tired of that crap! Keep putting your things for sale on here, and I will link you so people can come check out the merch. Did you know my dad has a vinyl cutter too?! He is a sign man, so I have been cutting, weeding, masking vinyl my whole life! I made the cutest gifts for Christmas this year. Wine glasses and kids' plates. Keep it up. ANd ugh...can't STAND to leave a crying girl! I have to SNEAK out in the mornings if Ellie happens to be awake!

hey girl, you are her momma and you know what is best for her, you and Lee both. I know that I am gonna be in for the same thing with Avery #2. The kids were talking in Sunday School class last Sunday morning about having to go back to school the next day and Avery spoke up and said well I get to hang out with my mommy all day tomorrow. Her teacher just thought that was so sweet and had to tell me about it. I know she is going to love Kindergarten next year, well atleast I hope she is anyway...if you ask her about it now she says no...I don't want to go to school. But I think once she gets there she will be so happy to be around all the other kids. Anyway...I probably should have put Avery in Pre-K this year but when she didn't get into Crossett (becasue of our income, which I think is wrong, I think every child should be entitled to the same education, but don't get me started on that...)anyway I just couldn't get convicted to send her to Hamburg, not that the schools aren't great. I just think "you know what" they are going to be in school for long enough. And she is soooo smart as it is, I think she will be fine. Sorry I rambled on for so long, oh and just as Michelle said I check daily to see what is going on right down the road at the Barnett abode.
Hang in there.

Sorry I'm just now commenting...I have a good excuse, I promise! I've been off the computer totally for a couple of days. Anyway...

Sounds like Dalton is having trouble getting back into the routine of school. I'm so sorry she's having such a rough time. It's tough on the parents, too. We had some issues with it when the boys were little.

Hang in there, girlfriend...I bet this coming week will be a better week!

Please don't give up your blog...I love your sense of humor and the fact that you give it back to me as fast as I can dish it out. :o) You're a hoot, and I'd miss you terribly...just so ya know!

This is a pretty typical reaction after the Christmas break. But I know Ms. Becky and Ms. Page will have lots of fun planned for February! She'll be out of her funk in no time. Sitting in Jim's dining room looking out at 7 inches of snow since 5:00 am this morning! Evidently Denver doesn't cancel school because of snow. Back in Arkansas, this would be a NATIONAL HOLIDAY!!!

Hang in there barnett! Maybe Dalton has been around me lately and we didn't know it. My blue mood rubbed off on her somehow.

I don't know about momma...but I bet Dalton will be better real soon. She's such a 'darlin heart.'

Regina told me about her in the mall. Wish I could have seen it.

How's Miss Dalton doing this week? Anymore crying? And how about YOU??? How are YOU, Miss Thang? Feeling any better? It's tough watching our kids go through difficult times.

Holla back...

I just read this, catching up after all our craziness!!! Sounds like you got craziness too!!! Well, my first order of "biness" (yes that's business for those who don't drink coffee) is a Grande Vanille Latte with an extra pump add whip. You got that? That will make alllll your troubles go away. It might even make all Dalton's tears go away too. If you have a Latte machine $25 then you can make her hot cocoa at the same time you make your coffee and she can have "time with mommy" in the morning before you cart her off for the day :) It does break your heart, but as SuperNanny told me last night, you gotta stick with the rules you set from square one. If you say "no" to it the first time, you gotta keep it up or else they do wanna work you. You are super and you're doing all the right things. It is after Christmas and she's used to being with you and the fam. Give her a couple weeks. Is she sleeping good at night? That's another culprit that apparently magnifies the crying when they are upset!! Oh, and I'm here and I'm commenting so you just keep on blogging pretty girl, just keep on bloggin. Hey, do you have an Etsy store? Let me know! I can help!
