Dance recital night!!!

Last night was the dance recital. The girls have worked SO hard and were so excited about getting to dance on the BIG STAGE.... They love to get all dolled up.. fancy costumes and make up and curled hair! Avery has changed so much since she started when she was 2! This was her 8th year!
Avery takes ballet, tap, jazz and clogging. She also was on a competition team this year!
Dalton takes tap and ballet. They are so cute at this age because they sing and dance! You know you gotta be good to be able to do 2 things at one time!
Check out Dalton's curly hair! I nearly died when it actually curled and stayed that way! She was so excited about it... so much so that she asked to roll it this morning and wear it that way to the ball park.. I was like HUH... NO!
Avery really got into her dances this year... she works so hard at it and is CONSTANTLY doing some types at moves... we will be out some place in public and I will say... PLEASE BE STILL FOR JUST ONE MINUTE!

I wish you could have been there to see the girls dance... They did SO good!
WE LOVE YOU MRS. LAUREN!

My daughter is a REDNECK!

I found Avery out in the yard yesterday (before recital) playing with this super teeny tiny froggie! It was the jumpiest (is that a word?) little thing I have ever seen!

Sharing my Sonic drink....

Today I had the pleasure of sharing my diet cherry limeade with Mr. Bryce... Boy did his face ever light up when he saw that Sonic cup coming towards him!!! It was so funny when he took the first drink because you could tell that he tasted something that he reconized. He flapped his little arms and showed his white teeth when he wanted more... That kid has a killer grin and the most beautiful blue eyes... I am going to get me some sugars tomorrow Bryce... We are coming to VISIT!

4 baby BUNNIES

Lee's daddy found these 4 baby bunnies under a building he moved and for some reason thought of my girls... He brought them to our house and we did not know if they were eating "big bunny food" or "baby bunny food" (meaning MILK from the mama!!!!) Finally they started eating grass and the little stubby carrots... so much so that they would take them from your hands and would eat so much I told Avery ( my 10 year old) that she was going to have to get a job to support their habit...... Ok, so the first day we got them they held them in the palms of their hands and they were VERY still... FYI... Dalton NEVER thought to flip em over and check them out... UNTIL DAY 2.... She screams... MAMA, LOOK HOW BIG THEIR FEET HAVE GROWN SINCE YESTERDAY!!!!!

Wouldn't you love to know what that baby bunny was thinking!?!?!
Low down on the bunnies... Real food=Real poop and lots of it out of 4 babies.. when this happened I wanted them and their little box they were in to get gone out of my laundry room... FAST!!! So, we get home from a ball game and there is only 3 bunnies.... One had jumped over 18 inches OUT of the box and was loose in MY HOUSE!!! For those of you that know me you KNOW that I had a stroke..... Bunnies out of house.. TONIGHT. WE found him/her under my night stand in our bedroom!!! So, they go outside the next day... Let me tell you this so you get an idea of REALLY how small they are... they can squeeze through a 1 inch x 2 inch rectangle thank you very much! Now the next day after the NEW HOME is fixed with smaller wire we come home and one is GONE! Avery has a STROKE.. crying and carrying on... so the next am when she goes out to check on remaining 3.... 2 are DEAD and one is just literally gasping for air..... SO she cried and cried and decided to let it out.. It was HORRIBLE and for those for you that just HAVE to bring something to my kids MAKE SURE THAT IT WILL NOT DIE!!!

When You Thought I Wasn't Looking

Mrs. Paige and Mrs. Becky read this to us
the other day at the tea party at Wee School....
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Happy Mother's Day!

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator,
and I immediately wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you feed a stray cat,
and learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you make my favorite cake for me,
and learned that little things can be the
special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I heard you say a prayer,
and I knew there was a God I
could always talk to
and I learned to trust in God.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you make a meal and take it
to a friend who was sick,
and I learned that we all have to
help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you give of your time and money
to help people who had nothing,
and I learned that those who have
something should give to those who don't.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I felt you kiss me goodnight,
and I felt loved and safe.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you take care of our
house and everyone in it,
and I learned we have to take
care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw tears com from your eyes,
and learned that sometimes things
hurt and it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I looked at you and wanted to say,
Thanks for all the things I saw,
when you thought I wasn't looking.

Mother's Day Tea Party @ Wee School

Today was the Mother's Day tea party at Wee School. The ladies really out did themselves getting ready for this!
This is Heather and Brady Burford. Brady goes this next week for scans... results to follow on Thursday at 1:00... please remember him and his family in your prayers. We want to be FREE!!!! http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/bradyburford
This is my fellow crying buddy Leigh Carter... her, Mrs. Linda and Chloe wore hats and feather boas!!! Leigh and I are very emotional about things right now....
Dalton asked Nanaw to join us for the tea party too! Seems like only yesterday we were at Avery's!
Here we are!!! Dalton was so excited to wear her little dress and open toed shoes!!!!
Lee's mother has one of these that Lee made when he was in preschool too!

I love all the things that they made!

Tea sandwiches, pineapples, chocolate chip cookies, dipped pretzels, little cakes, and punch! I could tell that Dalton had been sampling the punch... her red mustache gave her away!
Check out the flower bouquet... it is made out of their hand prints! I will have more pictures to post when I get her stuff from school on Monday.

Avery is now up to 6 homeruns!!!!

Waiting patiently for the game to start...... I think this may have been the only time during the that she was not singing and cheering! Here's #6!!!!!!!
Lee is on 3rd...
Look at him cheering her on!!!
Nanaw and Dalton watching the game.. notice D's purse on the ground.. she has about $20 worth of change in it and hits people up to hold it for her or carry it cause it is so heavy! It really is kinda funny to watch it because they think it is going to be very light and it is NOT!!!

Papaw Robert's last weekend!

Well, since Lee got his new toy he was chomping at the bits to go to my daddy's house on this long weekend.. and you would know it.. It was so freaking cold Saturday!
Dalton started out in the back with Lee and Avery, but got in the Rhine with me and daddy because of the windshield!!!!
I had to stop and check out these pretty "flowers" all over the levee... Daddy got to looking at them and there were thorns ALL over them! He said if you fell in those you would not be able to get out!
Daddy had to get a new puppy since he would never take Rose home during Christmas... Avery would CRY every single time we went to leave her and he is weak so he gave in......

We MADE him keep this one even if Avery did cry when we left and did not say a single word to any of us on the way home... Here is Dalton having her "TURN"............
