Beeping heart.....

Today Dalton was pretending that she was "WOOCY" and kept crawling up in my lap while I was on the computer. I asked her if "WOOCY" wanted me to snuggle with her!!?!? She barked and shook her head yes so I told her to go and get in the chair and wait on me! I went over and sat down and she crawled up in my lap and immediately got on my chest. In minutes she was out like a light!!! After a little while I was going to lay her on the couch and I realized her HEART WAS BEEPING (this is what she calls it) against my chest. I found myself just sitting there feeling that little heart beat and enjoying every minute of it! I know a couple of families that have lost their children to cancer recently and during this time of year I seem to noticed the little things that I know in my heart these families would never take for granted.

One of my resolutions is to take more time with my girls and noticed the little things and appreciate them more because before I know it they will not have time for me any more...... I encourage you to do the same.

Avery's 4th grade Christmas party....

Avery had her 4th grade Christmas party on Thursday. They had cheese pizza, capri suns, cookies and many other treats. Avery is always so good about Dalton coming to her party! She always makes sure that she is taken care of and is very protective of her! I guess this will be the last time that she gets to go since she starts school next year herself!

The best little mother ever!

To only be 4 years old she sure is a good little mama!!! LOL She rocked "Woocy" to sleep!!!

Note* This is NOT in my house. WOOCY and ROSE are not allowed inside except for the garage! LOL This is at Papaw Robert's house last weekend! Every one that knows me knows this!!!!

Lady Fingers

This is a cookie that my daddy often talks about his mother making... I am going to try to surprise him this weekend by making him some of these.... Ever had them before?

Lady Fingers

( Very simple and delicious)

4 Tbls. sugar
1 tps. vanilla
1 1/2 cups margarine or butter
2 cups plain flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
powdered sugar

Blend the ingredients well and add the nuts. Shape into small rolls about the size of largest finger and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 45 minutes in 300 degree F. oven. When slightly cool, roll in powdered sugar.

Note: these taste like wedding cookies.

Swap turns to dinner date!

So, it turns out that Rose-John (LOL) lives in McGehee! We (me, Lee and the girls) are going to my daddy's (who lives in Rohwer) for them to deer hunt this weekend. I don't hunt so I am determined to find other ways to entertain myself so I don't clean my daddy's house the entire time I am there. I will be in McGehee on Sat doing some things, so we decided to meet up to have lunch! This is HUGE for me cause usually I am so busy during the week that I never get to meet friends for lunch. I am happy that I know people... that know people... that know her.. (LOL) that way it is not like I have met someone off of e-harmony.com and I have to worry about them killing me! LOL

Stay tuned for the stores that we hit after we get our bellies full! I don't know about Rosjuane.. but I LIKE ME SOME GOOD DEALS!!! If we CAN'T find good deals then we have another idea up our sleeves... INSIDE JOKE!

My SWAP presents came today!!!!!

This is SOOO cute! The Santa is attatched in 3 different sections and kinda dangles.... It is glass! I wish you could have heard Dalton while I was opening them! OHH mama I LOVE this one, OHHH mama do you like this one too? She had to help me put them on the tree too!

This is a Razorback Santa!!! The little girl sittin on his lap has on a cheerleading suit! I told Rosjuane (Rose-John LOL) about how all of my ornaments on my big tree are special.. how the girls have made them, or how we always get a new one when we go on a family vacation. She told me that she thought that I needed one from home! Guess what!?!? I did not have one of those kind!

Look what I found.....

Today while I was showing our tree to a freind I noticed this at the very bottom on a branch.... the bottom half of the peppermint is GONE! Dalton brought this home from Wee school one day last week and was so proud, but it was broken... I guess she got tired of seeing it hang there broken so my guess is that she ate it! I think that this is priceless!!! It makes me sad to think that one day I will not find sweet little things like this.

I DO NOT like holding you when you are NAKED!!!

Yesterday Avery took the clothes off Rosie and Lucy so they could get in their cage in the garage to take a nap. Avery took one out to go potty, and left Dalton holding the other one in the garage. I realize that Dalton is talking to the puppy about how she wanted to put her clothes back on... I stopped to watch and got VERY tickled when the puppy just stopped and was looking at her like she really understood what she was talking about... About that time Dalton tells her.... I DO NOT LIKE HOLDING YOU WHEN YOU ARE NAKED!

I am also making Avery pick up poop out of the backyard cause the get down and roll around in the grass with them. Well, then yesterday I also caught Dalton wiping ones rear with paper towel after it went! I am telling you that my daddy is not going to be able to handle one of these! Looks like they are going to be too much of a diva for him!

Dalton could not get over the new little friends teeth! She hollers... LOOK AT HER TEEF! The puppy played along for a few times, but then it got old really qucik!

Santa came a little early!

Santa brought 2 minature Jack Russell puppies today! The girls are going to pick only ONE (the have decided on the smaller one that Dalton is holding) and then the other one will go to my dad's house. We wanted something that they could actually still HOLD when it is full grown. Maybe tomorrow we will announce a NAME!?!?!?!? I bet that Dalton does not want to go to Wee School tomorrow!!!
This little one is going to my dad's house on Friday. Guess we will babysit for the week and the girls will spoil her. He said that he was going to name her Rosie... not sure if he was kidding or not! Avery had picked out the name Holly for him to name her!!!

Why does Dalton like going to a football game?

To get a PICKLE of course!!! Every single time she hears that we are going to a football game the first thing out of her mouth is that she is going to get her a pickle!

Thankful Tuesday

Today I am thankful for my Pokeno girlfriends... who are all coming to MY house tonight! All 11 of them! We have a total of 12 counting me... We have so much fun and it is the fastest 2 1/2 hours of the entire month! I have fixed chicken salad. I will post the information on that later.. it is a pokeno favorite. Kami is also brining our other pokeno favorite... apple dumplings!!! OHHHH they are so good.

Dalton woke up on the wrong side of the couch!

So, Dalton was sleeping on the couch when I decided to ask Avery if she wanted to get dolled up and go out and take some pics.... suddenly sleeping beauty woke up with this attitude... this is after she threw Avery's new jacket on the ground that we had laying over her seat in the GATOR... I barely spatted her arm and this is what happened..... Finally, after about 5 minutes she was over the attitude! WHEW
This was Avery's idea here... I like this one... Lee hates it! Wonder why!!?!?! LOL
Pretty smiles.... Before long we will have braces... YUCK! (We meaning her not me and her.. LOL)
Guess who wanted to get into the modeling in the end too! Too bad that she had bed-head when she was actually in the mood! Oh well!!!!

Avery was all for being my model this weekend.. when I said make-up she was ready and willing!!!!! She was really getting into it! I think she is just so pretty even if I do say so myself!!!

Wordless Wednesday

STAR student!

Avery is the STAR student of the month! GO AVERY! I am so proud of her... She has always been the first "Busy Bee" or "Star Student" the first month of school... She is so sweet and does her very best.. We are very blessed!

Avery says that eating this is like.......

eating at the Olive Garden! You should really try this!

Seafood Casserole

8 oz cream cheese (I use Fat Free)
stick butter
2 lbs shrimp (I use 2 frozen packages 50 medium shrimp per bag)
1 onion chopped
Cream mushroom soup

2 cups milk (I use Fat Free)
2 tbls butter
Garlic powder (1) tsp
Red pepper (1/2) tsp
Grated cheese
Fettucini noodles

Boil Noodles

Melt cream cheese and 1 of stick butter in microwave

Sauté onion and 2 tlbs butter in skillet add shrimp…sauté
Add soup and cream cheese mixture, mix all together. When well blended ass the milk.

Drain noodles and fold in, place in long Pyrex dish, top with grated cheese and place in oven until the cheese melts.

Thankful Tuesday

Today I am thankful for my husband who is so sweet to me.

I am thankful for my friends that worry about me....

I am thankful for my 4 year old who is finally understanding what will happen if she does not pick up her toys.

I am thankful for my9 year old daughter who gets in the car ready to do homework.

I am thankful to have money to buy food with.

I am thankful for tissue so noses can be blown.

I am thankful for the people that trust me and allow me to come into their house to work for them.

I am thankful for my computer and DSL so I can keep up with my friends... on a daily basis!

Now Bryce can call the Hogs in style!!!!

I made this set for Mrs. Pam's first grand baby, Bryce. It is a lab bib and a matching burp rag. He and his parents live in Fayetteville and they both graduated from the University! He is guaranteed to spit RED!

Bryce is so cute!!!! You should see the way her watches his mama when she is talking... He is a very happy baby and Leigh sure deserves it!

It's sometimes hard to go home.....

This was the love of my mamaw's life!! She loved flowers!!!! She also loved all of the friends that she made over the years that she had this nursery. My Aunt Priss and Uncle Mike are now running it... there are alot of the same customers that have always been there. I can remember while she was sick.. Mrs. Hensley brought her cut flowers out of her garden on a weekly basis.... all of her plants had been purchased from my grandmothers nursery.



Dalton loves this cat! Her name is Judy. She will carry her the entire time that we are there if she will let her. Just look at the smile on her face!

This is my Aunt Priss. She always took my mamaw to Greenville, MS to her treatments. She is so much like her that it is scary! She has always taken up so much time with me and Robert Louis (my brother) and now takes up the time with my kids.. who love her. That is Nick on her lap... my mamaw' dog that they gave her for Christmas a few years back.... He followed her every where and was there with her when she passed away.

This is a pet turtle that they keep in the back of the hot houses. They actually have 2 of them. It is so funny because when this turtle sees my Uncle Mike coming with a worm he gets all excited... and who says that turtles can move!?!?! You should just see one of them moving when the other one has a worm and the other one wants it! He can boogie!!!

The day that mamaw passed away Maury was at my house and she went with me to be with my family that night. I was so thankful for her offering to go with me.... Once again.. Thank you very much for being there for me! You are the BEST!

This is Dalton's first best friend, Anna Claire. They go to WEE school togehter I love to hear Dalton talk about her... Her Nanaw told her at Sunday dinner that she saw Anna Claire at church that morning... Dalton smiled and asked what she was wearing!!!! Leave it to girlfriends to be concerned over each others wardrobes... even at 4 years old!!!

8 days were NOT too many days for vacation!!! Normally, we only brave the beach for about 5 days because Dalton is so small.. not this year!!! 8 days was actually PERFECT!!! Can't have a Orange Beach vacation without family pictures can you?????

I AM SO BEHIND!

After being encouraged to start a blog........ We go on vacation for 8 days!! So, hang on for the ride... mama has some serious blogging to do to catch up! (that is IF I can remember how to upload the picstures!!!)

Dalton's "MY Mr. Brown"

Dalton refers to our sweet little neighbor as "MY Mr. Brown!" Both of the girls love to go over and HOLLER at him ( you have to holler at him or he can't hear you) everytime they see him out in his garden or when he is messing with his chickens. He is so sweet to us... Look what he let the girls pick the other day!

The taste of figs brings back so many childhood memories of my grandaddy! They had a really big fig tree right outside of their back door and I spent lots of time there sneaking them and eating them... LOL Yes, they really new all along that we were eating them and they sure did not mind... There were millions on that tree!

Today Avery and I went out in the yard, and played around with my new "Maury Camera!" I took ALOT of pictures, and even deleted ALOT too! LOL I have so much to learn, but having someone that is willing to model her new school clothes makes it a little more interesting! I was very surprised at how much Avery got into it! She kept going.. wait mama.. how 'bout now I do this!?!?!?!
