State softball tournament VISITORS!

It worked out that Maury was in Pine Bluff the same time as us so she and the kids came by the ballpark to visit! Let me tell you it is very hard to visit and pay attention to the game! Maury swung by the Dollar Tree because I had already told her how we always take snacks and lunch with us since it is so expensive at the ball parks! In El Dorado someone bought a Gatorade and a homemade lemonade and it was $6!!!!!!
Maury was smugglin' tootsie roll pops and sour straws.....
Here is sweet little Noah.. always full of hugs for ME!
Dalton got to partake on some of their stash, but don't' worry she taught them out to spit sunflower seeds to return the favor! Oh, and then there were fruit roll ups.... I bet her kids bounced off the walls all the way home!!! I failed to get a picture of all seed spitting action action!

Backyard project progress....

We made SOD out of some of our grass.... OH MY GOODNESS is all I can say to THAT project. HOT.... HEAVY... and DIRTY! Thanks to David Bell for coming to help! Funny how your friends are never around when you do certain projects! LOL The SOD was heavy... thanks to how long Lee cut it!!! He does not think of any one but himself when he decides he is ready to be done with a project... the pieces were about double the length they normally are. Here are some of the pieces that we moved..... There are tons of them!
This does not show how much there really is! The bad thing about is it is that it all has to be moved again!
AND not to mention that I (meaning ME) has to keep it all watered!
Back to the previous owner of this house and her planting all kinds of crazy things EVERY WHERE.. We dug more of it UP! 2 huge rose bushes there were totally out of control and right by the edge of the patio... It was so big that they hung all over the patio taking up lots of space! If one of my kids fell in it they would DIE before we could dig them out of them! We also dug up 2 other crazy looking flowers that totally did not go where they were! Then we moved some mulch and threw out tons that had leaves and crap all in it.. and then the edging.. UGLY and CHEAP! Oh, and not to mention she had left about 2 feet in between the 2 flower beds and the lawn mower could not get in there.... That grass is from 2 mowing's and not been cut... Lee announced that the weed eater had kicked the bucket AGAIN.. we buy a new one about every 2 years!

Better things are yet to come! All this work better be worth it!

Avery's cucumber plant...

Sometime close to the end of school Avery brought home this cucumber planted in a little plastic cup... We put it in the window seal for a couple of weeks and she watered, and watered, and watered it... Finally one weekend we were going to be gone, so I just took it out of the cup and put it in the corner of the flower bed.. never really thinking it would actually make it... Well here it is NOW!!!!!!!! She had a stroke every time Dalton got close to it when she drove her John Deere tricycle by it.. so I had to push it over some out of her way... Dalton aggravating Avery would just sit right there by it!!!!
Finally a couple of days ago Avery discovered that she has a few tiny cucumbers on the plant! She was watering it to death, so we have started monitoring the watering... She would have to be put on nerve pills if this thing does not make it now! She thinks that she will cut the first one up and eat it with Ranch dressing... but she also added that she MIGHT change her mind! LOL That is a woman for ya!

Our night life!

Last night for about an hour we stayed outside and chased lighting bugs... WHAT FUN! Avery caught the most... Dalton realized fast that they went up in the air pretty quick so she ended up on Lee's shoulders! If you have not taken the time to enjoy this.... You gotta do it soon! We all had a blast!

Backyard project....

When we bought this house a little over 3 years ago there were some things that we wanted to do, but are just getting to them. There is this arbor thingy there in the pic to the left that Lee HATES... well, he got his wish yesterday and got to TEAR it down. It all started off that he was going to MOVE it.. well, I KNEW where that was going when he came flying around the house like a mad man on the tractor! I had been wanting to make the best out of it and plant something on it.. even with it being in the craziest place in the yard... Lee cussed it every time he mowed... especially when he would come back with the weed eater. In the middle of all his madness he discovered that it was rotten so it totally got tore down.. Yes, I saw the huge smile on his face as he was hauling it away... CONGRATULATIONS Lee you got your way on this one!!! LOL P.S. The birdhouses on the side of it are off of the light pole.. there were babies in one of them still. BUT, you are NOT digging that lone little bush up and burning it... IT WILL BE RELOCATED or ELSE! LOL

Notice in the next picture that other thingy planted AGAIN right in the middle of the yard.. that is coming up too!
This light pole was right dab in the middle of the backyard.. we had it moved back more and over to the side out of they way.. but still close enough for the backyard to be bright! That thing is worth $8 a month.. cause when it is out it is B-L-A-C-K out there! The day the Entergy guys came to move it Dalton decided that we had to sit and watch... It was SO freaking hot out there.. like I am thinking 120* maybe!!! Dalton and her little country self had to talk to the men. She decided that when the one guy went up the pole that he was standing on.... 2 tacks! HUM Needless to say that she made 2 friends and I think they actually enjoyed her.

More to come... stay tuned!

They did it again!

This past weekend LA ATTACK played in a tournament in Hamburg. We are so proud of the girls!! They won again!! They got a big trophy ... which they gave to Coach Lee ( I HATE those things.. to me if you like them then you are not the one that dusts at your house!) They also got shirts with champions on them! MUCH better than a little individual trophy!

District 10U El Dorado... CHAMPIONS

LA ATTACK

Our fast pitch tournament team won district in El Dorado over the weekend.. don't let their silly faces fool you... they did not leave with a little dinky trophy each.. they left with custom shirts (they got to pick which colors they wanted) with CHAMPIONS printed on the back! YOU GO GIRLS!!! This last team that we played had serious attitude issues.. actually, we had already played them and beat them once, but had to play them again. They had 2 women coaches and boy did they have attitudes!!! Let me just say without even calling their name that if MY child would have been on that team I saw at least 2 times I would have walked out there and got her and we would have left! Maybe this pink team should pray before the game too.. not just after... WHEW!
We are all so proud of you girls!
Dalton had to be in the picture too!!! She was so good all night Friday night and Sat too!
I love it that all of the girls don't leave Dalton out.. They love to hear her talking!! She is so country!
